classic 20 system is being
installed throughout five new schools in North East
England. When completed, they will have a total of
27,000sq m of the system. Contractor and
consultants were attracted to the system because
the floor heating pipe is cast into the concrete
slab rather than requiring an additional screed on
top.
School uses ground water
for heating and cooling The velta
contec system provides heating
and cooling in 14,600sq m of concrete
flooring in a new school near Rotterdam, Holland.
The velta contec pipe system is connected via a plate
heat exchanger to the school’s mono-well, which
draws hot and cold water from an underground aquifer.
Technical library now
open on-line We have now launched a new VIP section containing a vast technical
library of specification documents and CAD drawings. Website visitors simply
need to register their details to obtain a password and can then access the technical
library.

with a massive future. The new velta minitec system
is a low profile pipe and screed system for refurbishment
applications. At just 15mm deep the velta minitec
system can be used as a heating and cooling system
in almost any refurbishment application.
