velta sports floor system Floor heating systems for sprung floor applications
The high level activity
and multi-use function of sports floors places demands on any heating system.
To ensure the maximum performance of heating, flooring and athlete, it is essential
that each sports hall project is fitted with the most effective
system.
velta has systems designed for screeded, semi sprung and fully
sprung floor
applications,
providing the perfect atmosphere
in;
General sports centres
Tennis centres
Dance studios
Basketball courts
Multi purpose school halls
The three floor heating
systems developed by velta are specifically designed and DIN
certified to meet the varied requirements of sports halls,
without compromising the sporting activity
Rigid floors
Utilising the velta classic system, a hardwearing rigid screed floor
can be finished with sprung timber or a cushioned vinyl surface.
This is a cost effective solution suitable for general purpose halls.
Semi-sprung
The velta siccus system can be laid under a hardboard, foam and plywood
make-up to provide flexibility and movement. Using the 25mm low profile
siccus board can provide an effective solution for refurbishments
where floor depth is an issue. These floors can be finished in timber
or vinyl and offer shock absorption to produce a high quality sports
floor.

Tichelmann manifold assembly
Fully sprung (Double swing beam)
velta has developed a system which supports the velta 25mm
PE-Xa pipes within the timber beams and moves with the floor.
The use of the velta Tichelmann
manifold system also simplifies the supply pipe work requirements. This system
provides
an independently sprung floor with maximum shock absorption and should be considered
for halls hosting professional sports.
Creating different floor finishes,
all three velta systems provide heat at the required level, maximising
athletic performance by providing a silent, invisible, comfortable
and constant environment, with low air movement.
